My contribution was the art for a 6 page parody of the latest Harry Potter movie, done prior to the movie’s release (always tough) but for once there aren’t any scenes from the parody NOT in the film because they got axed or changed at the last minute, or that were never in there to begin with. I’ll post some sneak peeks at the parody art on Thursday.

The issue is great, so is the harry potter parody…but you should check some of your credits for the Mad 20. Especially the bp oil spill and tiger woods.
Thanks for pointing it out and my apologies to Matt Lassen for mistakenly crediting Jeff Larrsen for the “Tiger Wood’s” piece (too much copy and pasting too late at night), but the credits for the “BP Oil Spill” piece are correct. ???
That is an excellent cover. MAD and Fredrickson have done a fine job. Kind of in the same vein as the FEMA/Katrina cover from #461, it can mock the screw-up without being tasteless and disrespectful to the tragedy. Bravo, everyone 🙂
Got my copy yesterday (at Fleet Farm, which strangely still has a decent magazine section)! I haven’t had a chance to sit down and read it cover to cover yet, but as I was flipping through I noticed the print registration was off a bit (including YOUR parody, Tom!). Looks like the black wasn’t lining up. You can still read it fine, but it’s off enough to make everything appear fuzzy. I HOPE that was just my copy and not an entire run of it… anybody else notice that in this issue? I’ll just go out and look for another one soon, no worries!
Didn’t notice any problems with my copy. That sort of thing happens.
Mine looked fine as well. And that slick paper is snazzy, innit?
Hmm.. I have a subscription and never received a copy. ARGH!
