Amsterdam Workshop Illustration
Back in late June I did a caricature workshop with 16 terrific artists in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It was a great group, and we had a terrific weekend drawing and working together. Unfortunately the timing of the class was tough, because I was up against the print deadline for MAD #9, which included my “Once Upon a Time- Lousy Law” retro parody and the “Lion King” spoof. In fact The Lovely Anna spend the first day and a half seeing the sites of Amsterdam on her own while I was holed up in our AirBnB frantically trying to finish the last of the “Lion King” art. I got it done, but what I didn’t have time to do was the class illustration you see above. I had to disappoint the class and promised I’d get the art done in short order after I got back.
That was 4 1/2 months ago.
Well, I finally finished the illustration. The class was incredibly patient and I thank them all for their understanding. The art is above.
