NCSFest is only a few weeks away! If you don’t already know about this unique international celebration of comics and cartooning, best read up on it. It’s taking place May 17-19th in Huntington Beach, CA. While most of the festival is free to the public, there is a program of thirty different “Premium Events” going on just down PCH at the Hyatt, featuring Daniel Clowes, Gilbert & Jaime Hernandez, the Walking Dead’s Charlie Adlard and many, many more! I’m busy and on the road (again) today so it’s a flashback SotW this week. I guess some TV show of some kind starring Lena Headey came back with a new episode or something this past Sunday? Hard to keep track of that kind of thing, but here are two sketches I did of Ms. Headey that were years apart. The one on the left is from her title role in the short lived “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” from 2008, and the other is from that little known show she’s in now, done in 2014. Attention European artists! One spot just opened up for my workshop in Seengen, Switzerland. My Amsterdam workshop is way sold out with a long waitlist, so if anyone in Europe is looking to take one of my workshops this year, this might be your one chance. This workshop a little unique in that it is being organized by the Cartoon-Schule, a school of cartooning in Seon, Switzerland about 45 minutes outside of Zurich.
