Just got back from Kansas City where my son and I watched the Packers beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. I had to post this spot illustration I did for issue #496’s “Signs Your Dad Loves Football More Than Your Family” for this week’s Monday MADness… READ MORE

This week’s Monday MADness is a look at the pencil sketches of MAD #1’s “Starchie Reconstituted”, an homage and sequel to the brilliant original “Starchie” from MAD #12 by Harvey Kurtzman and Will Elder, and “Riverdull”, the spoof of the CW’s “Riverdale”. This was one of my favorite things I’ve ever done for MAD. Written by Ian Boothby. Clicky any to embiggen. READ MORE

Earlier this month at New York Comic Con, MAD writer Desmond Devlin and I thought we’d get together for dinner one night. We decided to call and invite a few of our fellow members of the Usual Gang of Idiots. The next thing you know we had almost 30 people show up. The table only sat six, so it was a little cramped. This week’s Monday MADness is a peek at the pencils for the Lion King (sort of) spoof written by Akilah Hughes from MAD #9. This was a bit of a tough assignment because it required a back and forth from images from the movie to the corresponding “green screen” moments on set. A lot of times I only had the face to work with as the actors were in tight fitting green hoods for the CGI filming. Clicky any to embiggen… READ MORE

Here’s a few sneak peeks at some of the panels from the other parody I drew in MAD #9, “Behind the Scenes of Dizzy’s The Lion King”. With all the attention the Tarantino stuff has gotten this is getting overlooked a little, but it was a very funny script from comedian Akilah Hughes. Now go out and buy a copy, clod! READ MORE
