Monday MADness: Penguin Book Unboxing!

My illustrator’s copies of MAD’s new children’s book parody “Don’t Let the Penguin Drive the Batmobile” just arrived! The printed book turned out great. It’s a 9.25″ square hardcover. The book officially drops on October 16th, available at fine as well as sketchy bookstores everywhere. I will also have signed copies available in the Studio Store, as well as an option to get a sketch of the Penguin in the book. READ MORE

Monday MADness- Scrubs!

This week’s Monday MADness is a look at MAD‘s parody of the TV show “[scrubs]” from MAD #426, Feb 2003. This was the only article I ever illustrated that was written by longtime MAD editor Charlie Kadau. There are a couple of “insider” cameos in this splash. Poor Rick Meyerowitz… his classic illustration for the Animal House movie poster might be the most parodied movie poster ever. MAD got in on the action with this spoof of that famous movie poster that also lampooned our dysfunctional government. This was part of MAD‘s “Dumbest People, Events, and Things of 2013” from MAD #525. Written by Jay Rath.
