I just finished up a bunch of projects over a brutal two weeks including: MAD– TV parody for issue #506 Workplace poster– The usual monthly thing MAD Show– some character design for this ongoing project Caricature Illustration– Sen. Well… vacation is over, I can tell you. Actually the old drawing board is a little light when it comes to heavy duty projects. Just a few small and one long, ongoing one- iPad App– Art for another app for Ray Griggs, the developer of Bobble Rep. Should have this done today. Caricature/Character Design– This for a UK company for an advertising project. Awaiting feedback on a round of sketches. Workplace Poster– My usual monthly assignment for The Marlin Company WB Animation– between episodes right now for the upcoming MAD Show That should keep me busy until the Comic Con starts in… only 3 days!!?! I’ve got a ton of stuff still on the board after finishing up four different assignments last week and getting a start on two other big projects: Big MAD job– These big ones have been few and far between lately, but I’m now working on a meaty 6 pager that is a combination classic movie parody and political piece. This one is slated for #505 due out in August. MAD Animated Show art– More super-secret artwork for the upcoming MAD animated show on the Cartoon Network. Click image for a closer look… Here’s what’s cooking on the drawing board right now: Workplace Poster Illustration– My usual monthly assignment. As promised the final of the last poster in posted above. Movie Poster– This keeps getting put on hold but I should be finishing it up this week. It’s a poster for a documentary film by the director of Super Capers, the movie I did some animated illustration for. I also did several character designs for some CGI animated segments in the film and storyboarded those scenes. Busy, busy, busy with several projects, so too busy to post anything substantial. Here’s a quick concept illustration for a simplified, “cartoonified” old fashioned sailing ship for an animation project I did recently… I’m currently slinging real paint (!!) doing a pair of originals for personal projects, then it’s back on to several other jobs in progress, including something for MAD #504.
