Sketch O’The Week
A new study of one of my favorite authors, Stephen King. This is just a quick preliminary to a little side project I will be doing in the next few weeks… more details later. READ MORE

I try and make sure my Wednesday “Sketch O’the Week” is something I do in my sketchbook purely for the joy of drawing and not for a job. However this week I am going to cheat and share these extremely quick studies of some presidential candidate nominees I did as part of a cover job I finished late last week. Joe Biden Sam Brownback Christopher Dodd Mitt Romney Fred Thompson These are very loose. I scanned then in and arranged them on a page that included 10 different primary candidates for an insurance magazine. I’ll share that cover as soon as it’s been published. READ MORE

It was a study I did of MAD caricature legend Mort Drucker that I later did as an airbrush painting as a thank you to him for sponsoring me for membership in the NCS, among other things. I still like the sketch because it captured his posture and body type… READ MORE
Just a goofy doodle of a football player since the NFL (National Felon League) season is just underway. READ MORE
Still under deadline so this “sketch o’the week” is from an older sketchbook… a study of caricaturist Corbett Vanoni from an online message board community where we all posted our photos and drew each other. I wish I still had time to do that kind of thing, but life intervenes. I was doing a lot of crosshatching in those days. READ MORE
