Here’s another drawing of rocker Dave Navarro, which was the basis of an upcoming spot illustration of him in Penthouse. READ MORE
It will be interesting to see how many people recognize this week’s SotW subject. She’s not famous for being on TV or in the movies, but I am sure many thousands of people will know exactly who she is. My only hint is to say I’ve been flying on a lot of airplanes lately. UPDATE: For all of you hopelessly guessing subjects who in no way resemble the above caricature, the drawing above is Katherine Lee aka “Deltalina”, the “star” of Delta Airlines pre-flight safety video: If you’ve been on a Delta flight in the last 4-5 years, you’ll recognize her. The video is… READ MORE
Since this week is mostly dedicated to my recent USO trip, here’s an actual drawing I did on the USS Enterprise. Josh was one of the many Navy folks I met and drew, and he was kind enough to make a copy of it and give it to me when I was aboard. It got a little wrinkled on the trip home. Thus, this week’s sketch is a pencil rough of an illustration I am doing for a client. Clicky to embiggen. Will post final art down the road sometime. READ MORE

This week’s subject is The Dark Knight Rises star Anne Hathaway. I have to admit I was not very enthusiastic over her casting as Selena Kyle aka Catwoman in the latest Batman movie, but I also questioned director Christopher Nolan‘s choice of Heath Ledger as the Joker in The Dark Knight at first, and we all know how that turned out. I trusted Nolan, and he didn’t disappoint. Hathaway was great in the role, and to have a overtly hot, vampy actress play the part would have been a mistake. I thought she was just the right amount of tough, complex, smart and sexy for… READ MORE
