Double MAD Covers!

It’s double the MADness for me this month with not one but two covers I did for the magazine and a special issue. The top one here is for the cover of the Barnes & Noble special issue “MAD Treasure Trove of Trash #8″, which is available in bookstores and some retail outlets. The second one is the cover of MAD #37. If you are wondering who’s who in the crowd of comedians they are: Left, from top: Dave Chappelle, Ricky Gervais, Katt Williams, Ali Wong, Jo Koy. Right from top: Matt Rife, Amy Schumer, Tiffany Haddish, Bert Kreischer, Natasha Leggaro. Middle: Alfred E. Neuman.

I went to pick up some MAD TRASH, but it wasn’t available yet at the B&N.
I wish they had featured classic comedians instead. I may be Gen Z, but I didn’t recognize anyone here (except for Alfred).
Despite appearances (i.e. nothing but reprinted content) I think MAD wants to appear in line with current times at least on the covers.
