Full NCSFest Details and Tickets Released!
The NCSFest website just went live yesterday with details on the full lineup of special guests, panels and speakers, artists Alley and the Marketplace on Main St., The Family Zone on 5th and PCH, the Windows Trail, the giant comic strip drawing jam, multiple exhibits at the Arts Gallery, children’s book readings by the creators and other programming at the Huntington Beach Library, “The Great Zombie Walk” and more! All FREE to the public! You can also buy day and weekend passes for the premium events and programming taking place about 3/4 of a mile down the Pacific Coast Highway at the Hyatt Regency Resort.
This is going to be one huge, amazing, star-studded comics festival the likes of which has never been seen on this continent before. Forget what you know about your run-of-the-mill ubiquitous comic cons. This is a completely different animal, and a true celebration of the art of comics and cartooning.
So what am I doing at NCSFest? Well, for starters I’m coordinating all of Artists Alley and the Marketplace, and I’ll have a booth in Artists Alley doing my usual thing drawing commissions, selling books, prints, etc.
- Thursday May 16th– I’ll be part of the big, free live signing event at the Hyatt Recency Resort just down PCH from the pier.
- Saturday May 18th– I’ll be in Artists Alley all day except when I do my FREE mini “how to draw caricatures” workshop at the Arts Center, time TBD. There is limited seating for this but I’ll announce the specific time well in advance, so get there early for a seat!
- Sunday, May 19th– I’ll be in Artists Alley but also participating in the “Cartoon Battles” event in the Big Tent at 11:30 am along with a bunch of very funny cartoonists and “NCSFest Finale – The Big Live Draw!” at 2:00 at the Hyatt Regency Resort (this is a premium event requiring a wkkened or Sunday wristband).
Wow. This is going to be something. Don’t miss it.
