Hey, that’s me on the far right! I’ve been Sergio-ized in Sergio Aragon?¬©s Funnies! That is way cool. Sergio began issue #7 of his newest comic book title with a page about the MAD reunion in Savannah Georgia last fall that I was fortunate enough to attend and not be kicked out of just because I have only one decade of working for MAD under my belt and not five or so like the rest of those guys. Anyway, great fun . . . and Sergio’s incredible talent shows in the caricatures here. Even as tiny and simplified as they are to match his style, they are all spot on. Great job, mi amigo!
Speaking of Sergio Aragon?¬©s Funnies, if you haven’t picked an issue up yet, and you have any interest in some of the best cartoon storytelling by one of the greatest cartoonists ever, then do yourself a favor and start reading this title. They are compilations of new stories, short gags, one page gems and tales of Sergio’s own life and experiences, all done in his inimitable style. Sergio is a modest guy, but he really is one of the true geniuses of the cartooning world, and these comics are examples of why so many people agree with that statement. Comics like this deserve great support amid an industry dominated by guys with impossibly big thighs in tights, scantily clad women with impossibly big breasts in capes, and Manga characters with impossibly big eyes and no noses.

Thats awesome!
Mad Magazine addict and a cartoonist from the heart. This is who I am. Teaching six languages with my own cartooning and still enjoying the excellent art of the greatest cartoonists who have always worked for this incredible work of art in such a way that normal mortals have always had a way to reach and become freaks like me.
How can we thank all these marvelous cartoonists ? How can we forget those cartoons that marked our childhood and which still make our days and life by reading all these pages over and over again ? Tom Richmond is the new era and we will never forget the capstones of this wonderful Mad Magazine. Mort Drucker should always be mentioned even if he could not make it to be around his fellows this time.
My eyes are watering and dripping. I just love the gang who made this awesome dream into thousands of cartoons and cartoonists together….ever possible !!
