Limited Holiday Gift Caricatures 2.0!

I did this last year and it worked out pretty well (although I started offering them a little too close to the holidays last time, thus the earlier announcement), so I thought I’d give it another go this year.

I usually do not do these kinds of commissions outside of comic book conventions (my studio commissions are more elaborate and a LOT more expensive). However, again this year I’m making 15 of these personal caricature commissions available just for the holidays.

I’m doing them on 11? x 14? bristol, in brush and various pens, colored with Copic markers and a touch of colored pencil, plus maybe some painted highlights. I can do them of you, or of your friend, family member, neighbor, barber, plumber, or some celebrity/famous person (assuming your plumber is not famous). The $175 is for one person only, but I can add additional people for $50 extra each. You suggest the theme and I’ll come up with a MAD-like gag of some sort, or if you prefer I’ll just draw the subjects doing their thing. The example of Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel above is actually one of the commissions I did last year. They obviously asked for two celebrities rather than themselves, but that’s up to you.

Send me an email expressing your interest and we will discuss the specifics, like what you want as a “theme” or situation. I’ll give you the exact price based on number of people and shipping, which will be actual shipping costs.

Again, I’m only doing 15 of these on a first come-first served basis. The first 15 emails I get (based on the date/time they arrive) will fill the spaces, or if they do not sell out I will stop accepting orders on Dec 6th so I am sure to get them out in time for the holiday. International folks you’d better not wait too long, as it can sometimes take forever to ship overseas.

These sold out in something like an hour last year. I’d do more than 15 but I don’t want to risk having a problem getting them done and to the purchaser in time for the holidays. Procrastinate at your own risk…
