Men of Steel- The Print!!
Here it is, fresh from its debut at San Diego Comic Con last night. “Men of Steel”, my newest limited edition print, now available for purchase online!
As with my other limited editions, this will be limited to 450 prints. All are hand numbered and signed. If you’d like a personalization of some kind, I can do that too!
These prints are 11″ x 28″, professionally printed on 100lb stock with an elegant matte finish. Shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube.
ABOUT THE SPECIAL EDITIONS:
Also like the last few prints, I will have eight “Special Editions” also for sale. These are hand signed and numbered 1 through 8 with “SE” before the number, and of course signed. Each special edition also includes the original inked art of the corresponding number Superman (Kirk Alyn comes with SE 1/8, George Reeves with SE 2/8, etc). These are selling for $125 plus shipping.
I’d put these up in the store as well, but my Mac crashed on me just as I was leaving and my hard drive is inaccessible right now, including all the images for those product pages. So, if anyone is interested in an SE print, just email me which one you want and I’ll send you a PayPal invoice to cement the deal. First come first served. Here’s the list of those still available, which I will try and update as the requests come in:
Kirk AlynGeorge Reeves- David Wilson
Christopher Reeve- Dean Cain
- Brandon Routh
- Tom Welling
Henry Cavill
Note these are just the inked, black and white line art. The color was all done digitally.
Folks at San Diego Comic Con are liking the new print! Obviously I will not be able to ship any orders until I get back, so keep that in mind.

Great caricatures, but please bear in mind that Bob Holiday, star of the 1966 Broadway musical “It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman,” not only portrayed Superman on stage during this show, but also on film in a newsreel central to the plot of the show. The show’s villain character watches the film playing on stage at the Daily Planet and makes disparaging comments about Superman’s obvious need to be loved by the public. Sorry, that doesn’t count. I’m comfortable with my criteria and lineup
Greetings Mr Richmond, I like very much your work, I have a question: you don’t have problems with copyrights and stuff like that for using image of famous people?
No, because 1) I am making fun of them and parody is a first amendment right 2) my concept examines and parodies a genre and character so none of the individual celebrities can claim a right of publicity case 3) I do not use any trademarked symbols or logos (hence the years as opposed to the “S” symbol)
