Michigan Comic Con Poster Art

Speaking of Comic Cons, I’m going to be a special guest at Michigan Comic Con next month, and I was asked to do the art for the official convention poster. Image above. The initial idea to spoof the cover of MAD #243 with Iron Man was the convention folk’s, but I added Alfred and a couple of other gags. This poster will be available FREE to convention attendees while supplies last!
Michigan Comic Con takes place at Aug 16-18th at the Cobo Center in Detroit. Come to the show, get a free poster and bring it by my booth and I’ll sign it!

LOVE the weight distribution on the chair. And the way your eye moves and choice of negative space…this is excellent.
I’d love to take credit for the composition but this is heavily based on the cover of MAD #243 originally done by Richard Williams.
