Monday MADness: Another MAD #8 Sneak Peek!
June 3rd, 2019 | Posted in MAD Magazine
Here’s another sneak peek at a panel from the parody I drew for MAD #8, written by Alec Owen.
This one is tough to figure out. It it a parody of the 1971 classic “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”? Why is Guy Fieri playing Willy Wonka? What’s with the bucket of chicken parts? Was someone on drugs when they came up with this stuff?
All questions will be answered (except the one about the drugs) when you run out and buy a copy of MAD #8, on sale June 11th! Fa fa fa!

It’s cool that MAD is going back and doing some of these classic movies that haven’t had a parody yet. Now we gotta do Back To The Future Part III because they spoofed the first 2 and never the third one! lol This next issue comes out on my birthday! Cool!
Hmmmm…I’m guessing Charlie and Grampa Joe tour the Food Network ala Charlie and the Chocolate factory? Maybe a nice throwback to those “…of the year” or “Mad Visits” articles.
Chris – Back To The Future III was parodied in Cracked Magazine (258 – November 1990: Giant Bart Simpson with a slingshot) Also parodied in that issue was Warren Beatty’s Dick Tracy which MAD parodied in their 300th issue along with Casablanca, one of the first times MAD parodied a beloved film classic outside its original release date. A maddening full circle for you!
