This is it, the last New York produced issue of MAD. It was nice to see some names in the magazine that we don’t see that that often anymore, at least not for full articles, like Ray Alma, Rick Tulka, and Kevin Pope. Editors Joe Raiola, Charlie Kadau, Dave Croatto and Jacob Lambert also have writing credits in this issue. I have a feeling a lot of people wanted to have something in this one. It really is the end of an era.
My main piece in this issue is the art on a 6 page parody of “This is Us”, written by Desmond Devlin. I’ll post a sneak peek of that Monday. I also contributed caricatures of myself and Des for the mug shots in the “Gotcha” feature written by Scott Maiko.
So what are you waiting for, clod? Go out and buy a furshlugginer copy, already!
