NOTE: This workshop is SOLD OUT. Spots do occasionally open up if people cancel, so we have a waiting list for each sold out workshop. It costs nothing to be added to the list, and waitlisters are not obligated to take an open spot if one is offered to them. If you want to be added to the waitlist, send us a note here!

This is a DEPOSIT ONLY to reserve a spot in our workshop. Full tuition is $550, the balance will be invoiced on July 15th and is due Aug 15th. Deposits are fully refundable through July 14th.

Itinerary:

Fri, Sept 6th:

• 7pm- 10pm: Private welcome party at Tom’s home and studio EXCLUSIVE to the Minnesota workshops! Backyard cookout, wine, beer and soda served. There will be a tour of Tom’s studio, a demo of his inking and digital color illustration techniques, a close up look at a lot of original art and other fun. Transportation provided from hotel if needed.

Sat Sept 7th:

• 10:00 am- noon: Morning session- Overview of Tom’s MAD Magazine process, lecture on caricature.
• Noon-1:00 pm: Lunch Break
• 1:00 pm-3:00 pm: Afternoon session- Hands on drawing of multiple subjects, feature lessons, individual critiques
• 3:00 pm- 3:30 pm: Break
• 3:30 pm -6:00 pm: Evening session: Continued lessons on features, multiple subject examination and drawing, one-on-one instruction and critiques

Sun, Sept 8th:

• 10:00 am- 1:00 pm: Morning session- Live caricature drawing jam!!
• 1:00 pm-2:00 pm: Lunch Break
• 2:00 pm 5:00 pm: Continued lessons on features, multiple subject examination and drawing, one-on-one instruction and critique, Q&A

• $120/night Group Rate available (you do not need to stay at the hotel to attend the workshop)
