Six Flags New England
I’m finally back from Massachusetts, where I spent several days working at my operations at Six Flags New England. It always takes a few weekends to get the bugs worked out of the young season. I spent some time drawing but most of it teaching some of our new artists our techniques with caricature and airbrush. I’ll be back there again May 18th-20th.
The operation in Six Flags New England is by far my largest, with two big caricature, three airbrush tattoo and one (pending) airbrush T-shirt location. The caricature booths we designed and built there are some of the best in any park in the country. I snapped some pictures when on location this past weekend:

This is by far my busiest time of year. I’m trying to get three separate seasonal theme park operation up and running while still keeping up with my illustration work… which is starting to pile up.
Do I hear the Dreaded Deadline Demon scratching at the door?

I really like the “Wharf Caricature” sign (and building for that matter!). Did you draw the pirate-type guy up there? What a great themed structure!
Sharp lookin’ booth! Nice, open spaces…and I also like how you’ve got a wall between the two working artists in the Wharf Caricatures booth. I think it helps make a unique “performance space” for the artist. As fun as it is to have everyone looking at both artists, there’s something to be said for “doing your own thing” and stoking the crowd in your own way.
