Sketch o’the Week
July 22nd, 2009 | Posted in Sketch O'The Week
As promised, here is my sketch of the great Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes and Edward Hardwicke as Dr. Watson from the Granada TV series. I have been enjoying the show on DVD. Brett creates one of the greatest and most convincing portrayals of the Great Detective ever, and he deserves all the accolades he has garnered for his work.

Great Job, Tom.
Basil Rathbone used to be my “Sherlock” until A&E started airing the Jeremy Brett version (in the ’80s), and then I couldn’t picture anyone else but him in the role.
Looks great, Tom! I’m anxious to see the new movie when it’s out.
Excellent Tom, very good likeness, brings back fond memories of watching the tv series here in England when it first was aired!
Looks great. I’d love to see you do a full body version when he’s wearing his top hat, that’d be cool 🙂
Thank you! The Sherlock Holmes series, starring Jeremy Brett, is one of my favourite tv shows of all time, and no-one (to me) encapsulates the great detective like Brett.
