Sketch o’the Week
August 26th, 2009 | Posted in Sketch O'The Week
This week’s sketch subject is Brad Pitt in his role from the film “Inglorious Basterds”. I’m looking forward to seeing this movie and hope I can find the time to do it before it is gone from the theaters.

Great Sketch. I saw the movie last week, and this captures him perfectly. I laughed my A** off at the movie, and I’m sure that you’ll enjoy it too.
Love the angle, Tom. Great sketch.
I really like the perspective of the face. Not a typical viewpoint of his face, but still has an amazing likeness.
Extremely tough angle to draw!!! Bravo.
great job, Tom, and love the extreme angle and attitude of the facial expression.
But you forgot the giant scar that the character has around his neck, which looks like it goes ear to ear.
MT
I guess that scar is not visible in the photo reference I used. He seems to have a scarf around his neck in the picture that covers more of his neck than I indicate in the drawing.
Your pic made me giggle.
I really like this sketch, because it captures the small amount of undershot, that truly defines the character in the movie. That said I’m a real fan of your sketches without color where you get to see every stroke made and how the shadows are applied.
Need that nosetutorial now 🙂
