Sketch o’the Week
February 16th, 2011 | Posted in Sketch O'The Week
Since I am on vacation (and for once didn’t bring any work with me so no scanner or Cintiq)¬¨‚Ć this installment of “Sketch o’the Week” was drawn on the iPad using Sketchbook Pro. Subject: Liam Neeson. Drawn with my finger as I have none of those weird styluses with the marshmallow ends. Verdict: meh. Give me a pencil anyday.

I got Art Studio for the ipad. (like it better than sketchbook pro). I thought it woudl save me a whole bunch of time being able to be portable. Problem is whether with the finger or the pen it is too fat and there is no on screen indication where you are about to draw a line like on a wacom.
So pretty much I don’t use it except possibly to draw some mock ups that I finish up on my computer.
There is a good pen at best buy. It has like a rubber tip instead of the sponge tip. I use it on my iPad and it works great, feels move like a natural pencil (which I prefer). I also have used the layers app. It has a faster response to the pen.
Keep up the good work……..love it.
Finger, huh? Can we hire you to come over on cold days and illustrate our car windows?
