Sketch o’the Week
May 9th, 2012 | Posted in Sketch O'The Week
Have to cheat on the SotW this week as I am too busy with deadlines to do anything new. Thus, here is a small portion of the pencil sketch of a much bigger piece I did last month for a special project that will remain unnamed until such time as it’s released.

Can’t wait to see the finish. Great job on Thing!
I look forward to seeing the whole completed picture. How long does it take you, from sketch to competition to finish a design like this?
This is only a small part of a big, 1 1/2 page spread. The entire piece is pretty complex with many dozens of other characters. I probably spent 2 days from roughs to tight pencil.
I can imagine, I would love to get work like that. How long though will the entire colour picture take to complete?
Hmmm. Judging by the use of Peek-a-Boo Window Powergirl and the leering Ben Grimm (“It’s Slobberin’ Time!”), I’m guessing something for a “men’s magazine”.
Brilliant pencil sketch. Thought I’d just mention that I’m thoroughly enjoying the MAD caricature book and only wish I could draw one-tenth as well as you!
I’m going to bet a million bucks that this is an Avengers Mad movie parody. The movie was absolutely incredible and I absolutely cannot wait for this issue of Mad to be released.
Gee Tom, that superhero lady’s boobs are bigger than her head.
That’s why her back hurts.
