Sketch O’The Week
Quick warm up sketch from yesterday of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles star Lena Headey. Anytime you use hard angles on a face you add masculinity to it, but she has a hard jawline and a tough look they are cultivating in this role.
After seeing Monday’s second part of the premiere, I think this show is headed in the right direction. Summer Glau makes a great next gen Terminatrix, and Headey came off as a lot tougher and street smart in this episode than in the pilot. Even Thomas Dekker‘s John Conner became more interesting with his rebellious visit to his last “father figure”. If the writing evolves as smart and snappy as opposed to relying on formula, it could become a great show. I love the concept of soldier units from the future as “cells” in this time period. Time travel plotlines can get convoluted very fast, though. I hope they avoid falling into that trap.

I agree with you about about time travel plots, seldom does it work.
Dr. Who may be an exception.
The thought of “12 Monkeys” makes me almost physically ill.
I didn’t watch this show but I might check it out, now that you said it improved, I believe I heard someone pan the first night badly.
I still remain a great fan of yours, Tom!
