Sketch o’the Week- Lawrence Fishburne
June 19th, 2013 | Posted in Sketch O'The Week
Speaking of Perry White, this week’s sketch is of actor Lawrence Fishburne. I’ve been watching the new TV series “Hannibal” this spring since I am a big fan of (almost) all of Thomas Harris‘s books, but I am giving up on the show. Fishburne’s job portraying FBI boss Jack Crawford is one of the few good things about the series, however.

Nicely done. The series is awfully dark and gruesome, but I do appreciate the actors in it Mads Mikkelsen is a good actor (when I can understand him), and he would be great caricature material for a sketch of the week. I liked the small picture of him in the Skyfail parody, but a larger version would be good to see too.
I like Milkelson also, although I agree he’s hard to understand. I dislike the way they’ve revised the characters and cribbed dialogue from the books/films.
I’ll have to check out the books one day. The series may not have a large enough audience to merit a Mad parody, but if they did do it, they could have fun with Will’s inability to see Hannibal as the bad guy. He goes over to Hannibals at Xmas time, and on a table there’s a Santa and reindeer, with Santa impaled on Rudolph, and on a coffee table, the latest issue of “Deer Antler Monthly”.
