Sketch Week!- Friday
July 25th, 2008 | Posted in Sketch O'The Week
Doing caricatures of beautiful women can be challenging, but if you look hard enough there is always something you can key in on. Scarlett Johansson might be gorgeous but she also has some very caricaturable features… squinty and small eyes set far apart, a wide and squarish nose, swollen lips, a fairly bulky jaw and chin and a small forehead.

Very nice, Very nice. Also is this the last day or do Saturday and Sunday get to be graced with a sketch for sketch week?
There will be another sketch tomorrow but Sunday will be back to “normal” with a mailbag question and answer.
Its very interesting caricatures of pretty women. Do you glamorize them or pick them apart rogueishly? The public view the starlets as sexy, glamourous so when they see a caricaturists not so flattering caricature of the starlet they immediately
say “Thats not her.”
I love the sketch of Scarlett here and keeping it real.
very skillfull. i just hope that i can achieve your standard before i’m 60. your sketch amaze me. i’ve spend a few years already to study your drawings, and still i’m nowhere near. just if you ever think doing sketches like this is easy, remember, there’s a lot of people out there (like me) struggling just to achieve your sketching skills, not yet mentioning your expertise on inking and colouring..
Awesome. But it looks like her head is turned too far over her shoulder.
But what do I know.
