St. Jude Online Auction
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the National Cartoonists Society are getting together in Memphis this month to raise money for their wonderful work. I’ve already blogged about the events taking place next Thursday (60 cartoonists will be visiting the hospital and drawing for patients and their families in the afternoon and having a special dinner on Beale St. that night where they also will be drawing cartoons to be sold in the St. Jude gift shop, and an evening fundraiser with a smaller group of cartoonists with a show and live auction will take place).
Another part of this endeavor is an online auction to benefit St. Jude, with originals done in a “Memphis Theme” by members of the NCS. The above is my contribution to the auction, and ink/wash illustration of the “Million Dollar Quartet”. That auction is supposedly going live at 8:00 am today. Visit HERE and see if it’s going!
EDIT- So the page linked here says it begins on 6/1. That is not right, this is supposed to be happened prior to the Reubens. I’m not sure if the dates are wrong but I’ll post and link back to the auction page when the auction starts.
EDITED EDIT- Welllllll I’m told the online auction is now on July 10 and this piece will not be a part of it, but instead will be part of the live auction in Memphis. Sorry for the confusion.

Nice composition with these guys. It should be a popular auction item. The Traveling Wilburys would make for a cool group pic like this, if only to see your spin on Roy Orbison.
