The new cover of MAD uses a similar satire as your caricature of Barry Bonds. Whaa?
That’s true, and I’ll admit I had seen the cover before I did my caricature. It’s a very obvious gag. However, if you want to get technical I did that very same gag in a panel of my Superman Returns parody, with Bonds holding up Superman and the plane, with needles sticking out of him, and I did the same gag with Giambi in a panel in my Batman Begins parody, both well before the cover was done. So, I figured it’s as much my gag as anyone elses.
