TMAoC 10th Printing, 2.0 News
This is crazy but after ordering a (reduced number of copies) 9th printing of the book back in December I thought I’d have enough copies to get through to the printing of the new version. It turns out I underestimated things and now have to order a 10th printing. We won’t run out this time… I have certainly ordered enough copies to make it to the end of the year. By then the new version will be out.
The staying power of this book continues to amaze me. I am very lucky that several things fell into place to help the books longevity, not the least of which was finding a legitimate distributor willing to stock a self-published book. That’s kind of rare, but it allowed the book to be carried by wholesalers like Baker & Taylor, Ingram, and Barnes & Noble. That places it in brick and mortar stores in the “Art Technique” section, which in turn introduces it to fresh audiences all the time. I guess more people have an interest in drawing caricatures than I thought. Many thanks to all who have bought a copy.
As for the new book, now officially titled The Mad-der Art of Caricature!, work proceeds on the rewrites and additional content. I hope to reach “critical mass” on it by the early summer and launch the Kickstarter in June or July, with a target arrival of the book by early November.

Great news about the new book! Can you set up an email notice for when it’s launched on Kickstarter? I don’t want to miss it.
Can’t wait for the new book!
Have a great week Tom!
