Tom’s Virtual Artist’s Alley Table is Open!

I’m at New York Comic Con this weekend! If you can’t make it to the con, you can still get any of the comic con exclusive stuff I am doing in NYC here at my “Virtual Artist’s Alley Table”. The virtual table will be open through 5 PM CDT Sunday Oct 20th. I’ll be selling all the commissions I usually only offer at comic-cons, at the same prices I charge at comic-cons. I only do these twice a year, so now is your chance… and guaranteed deleivery in time for Christmas!

What kinds of things do I ONLY do at conventions? My “live caricature” style black and white caricatures/commissions, “Sketch o’the Week” style commissions, and MAD Magazine sketch cover commissions. None of that is usually available in the Studio Store.

MOCK MAD COVERS!

A Convention Exclusive Item!! Not usually available online!

These are “mock” sketch covers of MAD magazine, done on 9″ x 12″ bristol with the MAD logo printed in place just like a real cover! (Please note these are NOT the blank variant cover of MAD #538 that DC sold years ago… I am fresh out of those). I have three different levels of sketch cover commissions: pencil only, ink and grays, and ink and full color. The starting prices are for a single subject/gag, the prices goes up with the complexity of the commission request.

I can also do these on 9×12 bristol without the MAD logo.

“Live” Style Caricatures!

A Convention Exclusive Item!! Not usually available online!

Done in graphite with shading on 12″ x 16″ paper in the same style I do my live work, except I take a little bit more time on these. They can be a caricature of YOU and/or your peeps, just a caricature or as a character or in a theme (as Jedi, superheroes, etc) or ones of famous people. I always add a “MAD” twist”. “Alfred As” Sketches!

A Convention Exclusive Item!! Not usually available online!

“Alfred as…” sketches are done in the same live caricature black and white style as the regular caricature commissions on 12? x 16? paper. You tell me who you want Alfred to be. I draw it and give it a MAD gag. These are an outrageous $50 (cheap), unless you want me to draw another character or do something really elaborate.

Sketch o’the Week Style Commissions!

These I actually do sell on the website but I offer them for a discount at conventions. These are “Sketch o’the Week Style” black and white drawing  on 9 x 12 paper in graphite with my signature crosshatch technique seen in my “Sketch o’the Week” caricatures! These are far more elaborate and meticulously drawn than my “Live Caricature Style” artwork. The $100 price is the base price PER face. This price includes one face and a simple theme/body.
