Workshop Warmups: Gene Wilder!

Under a multiple deadline crunch right now so no time for a new “sketch o’the Week”. Instead here’s one of our warmup sketches from my workshop in Washington DC last weekend, Gene Wilder.

First thing on the second day of the workshop we do four warmup sketches of subjects suggested on the spot by the class. We spend 10-15 minutes on each. I search for and then project an image on the left and then draw it on the right side as seen above while the class also draws it. It gets us revved up for a long day of drawing.
